Die PRS S2 Custom 24-08 verfügt über viele der gleichen Spezifikationen wie die S2 Custom 24, bietet aber mit ihrem intuitiven Schaltsystem eine neue Ebene der Vielseitigkeit. Die Plattform für diese Gitarre ist eine Ahorndecke, Mahagoni Boden und Hals, und Palisander Griffbrett mit Vogel Einlagen. Sie verfügt über 24 Bünde, eine 25" Mensur und einen Pattern Thin Hals. Die 85/15 "S"-Pickups sind mit einem 3-Wege-Toggle-Schalter und zwei Mini-Toggle-Coil-Split-Schaltern gepaart, die die Humbucker individuell in echte Single-Coils aufteilen, sodass insgesamt acht Pickup-Konfigurationen möglich sind.
